A Quick Guide to The Crudo Diet
The Crudo Diet 101
Transitioning your dog from kibble to a raw diet requires patience, preparation and persistence. While kibble makes for a convenient, shelf-stable choice, raw diets can provide your pup with better nutrition. To start, evaluate the size of meals you need for your pup based on their individual needs in accordance with their activity level, age and breed. When beginning the transition process, make sure to start with small portions of raw food alongside kibble and gradually increase the amount over 2-3 weeks. This method of gradual introduction should help your pup get used to the new raw food while still providing them a familiar kibble base. It’s also advised that you monitor their digestive system throughout the process as this will give you an indication of how your pup is reacting to their new diet. Once they have been fully transitioned onto a raw diet it's necessary to always keep fresh water available and ensure all meals are balanced.
